Bringing the real film experience of Quentin Tarantino's Vista theater online
Vista Theater is a historic neighborhood cinema in Hollywood, owned by Quentin Tarantino and known for its commitment to real film, with screenings exclusively in 35mm and 70mm.
We partnered with the Vista team to lead creative direction and redesign the website, bringing the in-theater film experience online. The site puts programming first, making it easy to explore current and upcoming films, special events, and purchase tickets, while supporting ongoing collaboration with Quentin's team.

Shaping the Vista’s history into a unified digital brand
Digital Brand Exploration
Vista Theater's digital brand reflects the nostalgia and craft of real film, using the theater's history as the foundation for visual direction.
We explored three brand directions grounded in classic cinema references. The selected direction uses bold serif typography, warm cinematic color tones, distressed graphic details, and film-inspired textures drawn from reels, posters, and archival materials. Together, these elements create a cohesive visual system that reflects the Vista’s legacy and character.
Building a website that can keep up with the Vista’s day-to-day programming
Flexible Website Design & Development
The Vista Theater website brings the in-theater film experience online, making it easy to explore films and buy tickets.
The site is structured around current and upcoming films, with filtering across multiple days and showtimes, including matinee and midnight screenings. This makes it easy to scan schedules and move straight into ticketing.
Built for frequent updates, the website provides a flexible foundation that supports ongoing changes to films, schedules, and events over time.
Supporting the Vista across daily programming and larger moments
Ongoing Collaboration & Support
The partnership with Vista Theater remains ongoing, with close involvement as programming changes week to week.
Regular updates to films and showtimes are handled alongside builds for larger initiatives like festivals and cinema clubs, including IB Tech Fest and the Video Archives Cinema Club, each with their own films and schedules. This ongoing partnership makes it possible to support new programming and initiatives in real time.
